01. Breaking away from my usual blood red lips, I have been experimenting with more neutral shades. I was originally inspired to try out the 'Kylie Jenner' lip phenomenon by this post which then spiralled into purchasing lip products that are much more in my price range and are still able to create something similar: (Hanorah Lipstick, Essence Lip liner, Natural Collection Lip Liner).

02. Having commitment phobia, I thought these ear cuffs would be ideal when desperately trying to emulate some kind of 'cool'ness. Even if I'm not looking it, I'm definitely feeling it which is all that counts, right?

03. I should probably invest in some good quality rings that don't change colour when I wash my hands, but until that point I shall fill my h&m bag with the cheap and cheerful kind. I can't deny my love for jewelled hands.

Wish you were mine

jumper and jeans - H&M
shirt - Primark
boots - ebay
hat - Missguided

This jumper may be the best £7 I've ever spent. Ridiculously warm and manages to go with anything, despite being XL (even though it almost definitely isn't).
Anyway, hope everyone is enjoying their January as much as I am - aka doing as little productive activity as possible ;)

Don't you think I look pretty anymore?

jumper - Sheinside
jeans - Blue Spice
bag & shoes - Primark
necklace - Forever 21

Currently enjoying the cooler weather for allowing me to layer up and not looking like Joey in that episode of Friends.
Speaking of layers, this jumper is quickly becoming a firm favourite and the forest green shade has allowed me to venture from my monochrome comfort zone. That said, I am having a bit of a clothing cut back at the moment, so do check out my depop if you fancy :)

It's also been a while since I've featured any inspiration, of which I am in desperate need of..

They'll tell you I'm insane

top - Oasap
jeans - Blue Spice
jacket - Forever 21
boots - Zara

Feeling pretty monochrome in this ensemble as always. Could not resist this top from Oasap though, especially as it reminded me of the disclosure album art.
Have a little break at the moment in the limbo between handing in coursework and returning to university so will make a conscious effort to do several posts this week (she says anyway). As a little post hand in celebration, I managed to get to Zara yesterday and pick up a few sale things including these rather pretty boots. They give me some kind of Back to the Future vibe and I feel somewhat like a power ranger but that can't be a bad thing?

Anyway, merry 2015 lovely people,

Power of love

jumper and shoes - Primark
jeans - Blue Spice

Hoping all of you pretty people are having a lovely festive season!
Just thought I'd share my '50 shades of Grey' outfit that kept me warm yesterday. A nice change from head to toe black anyway - it is Christmas after all!

New Years Look?

Always one to get involved in a Style Challenge, when Weddington Way contacted me to accessorise a New Years look, I could not refuse..

Renound for formal and elegant gowns and as their name suggests, Weddington Way are primarily known for wedding and bridesmaid outfits, however, who's to say you couldn't wear one of their beauties for entering the New Year?

From the new collection of bridesmaid dresses, I picked this pretty grey toned one, and have come up with two accessory options..

First, a champagne inspired look..

Then a look that's a bit more vampy..

Which one would you go for?

Also hope you're all having amazing festive seasons and Santa brings everything you want :)

velvet choker - katiemortimerx on depop
Kylie Jenner Wannabe hair - c/o Flashmob

I was ridiculously excited to be given the chance to test out some Flashmob hair chalks.
Flashmob specialise is bright and bold beauty products, something I'd usually shy away from, but I've become far too comfortable in my comfort zone, so was raring to test them out!

Hair chalk is ideal for commitment phobes like myself, or those of us who wish to give colour a trial run.
Or who just want to feel like Kylie Jenner for a day or two.

How to apply
All you need to do is run the chalks over the hair, and simply build it up for a more intense colour. Then simply seal with some hair spray.
I was really pleased with the intensity of  the colour on my dark hair, but spritzing a little water on first definitely brings out the colour.

Top Tips
I would definitely put a few towels or newspaper before you start chalking yourself.
Also, I wouldn't recommend wearing white without a towel around your neck, to avoid your shoulders changing colour.
That said, it is chalk as opposed to fake tan or dye, so comes off super easily with soap.

Despite looking like a goth according to my brother, I was really pleased with the simplicity of the hair chalks and can't wait to actually use them for an evening out now it's apparently ~party season~!!
I also have the yellow and green to try so keep an eye on my instagram to be accordingly updated :)

Would you give hair chalk a try?
